Each of the Multilingual Animal Calligrams in this calendar is created from words for that animal in languages spoken in or near areas of the world where that animal lives.

This project was a redesign of the logo and a set of flyers for LetsBMore, the Baltimore Timebank, using a stylized version of the Maryland state flower, the Black-eyed Susan,
and other colors from the state flag.

I also created versions of the flyers with the text translated into Spanish and Japanese.

I created this calligram design in early 2025 using Adobe Illustrator for Timothy E. Sander as a personal logo to promote his ideas about servant leadership which he calls Thankful Stewardship in speeches he gives in connection with his employment at Sumitomo Corporation of Americas.
Timothy has also written a chapter on his conception of Thankful Stewardship in the forthcoming book, Servant Leadership 2.0: A Systemic Aesthetic for Serving Self and Others,
co-edited by Jenny Guan of Purdue University.

This quote from George Fox, whose birthday was 400 years ago in July of 1624, is shown in seven of the languages used by many Quakers around the world: Yucatec Maya, Aymara, Kinyarwanda, Spanish, kiSwahili, dhoLuo and English.
